Play is an essential part of a child's life. In the early years, play helps in learning, emotional, social, and cognitive development. In this time of COVID-19, play is as important as ever. This webinar looks at what play is, why it matters and provides practical tips and examples of how parents and service providers can facilitate play in children's lives during a time of confinement. This interesting topic is co-presented by Brian Harrison, Science of Early Childhood Development, Red River College and Isabelle Vinet, Executive Director of the Center of Excellence for Early Childhood Development.

The Early Childhood Development in a Time of Pandemic webinar series has been created under the Early Childhood Development Science to Practice: Knowledge Mobilization Project. This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada's Social Development Partnerships Program (Children and Families).
