Supporting Parents and Educators in Uncertain Times

Supporting Parents and Educators in Uncertain Times

Over the last several years, Families Canada, in partnership with the Centre of Excellence for Early Childhood Development (CEECD), has hosted a very successful webinar series "ECD in a Time of Pandemic". This series is now be available on the Families Canada training portal.

The "Supporting Parents and Educators in Uncertain Times" webinar focuses on science-based information and strategies to support parents and educators of young children in times of uncertainty and stress. The pandemic has had a significant impact on both children, parents, and educators with very few resources for caregivers on how to address these new challenges in ways that are beneficial to the development of children and their own health and wellbeing. The webinar will help participants understand the challenges caregivers are facing, what it means in the early years of the development of children, why it matters, what can be done and how to respond. The lessons learned during the pandemic can be used during any challenging and uncertain times.

This webinar is presented by guest expert: Dr. George Tarabulsy, Professor, School of Psychology, Université Laval
