Promoting Intergenerational Volunteering - Connecting Through Virtual Programming

This webinar series was part of a 3 year project titled Integrating Senior Newcomers through Intergenerational Volunteering at Family Support Centres. The project was funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. This webinar series was developed in partnership with Mosaic Newcomer Family Resource Network, A+O Support Services, Positive Discipline in Everyday Life and Council on Aging of Ottawa.

In this episode, the presenters discuss strategies to support virtual intergenerational volunteering programming, accessing equipment and services, teaching newcomer seniors how to use technology, and overcoming resistance from Seniors, Family, and Staff.

Cette série de webinaire s’est inscrite dans un projet d’une durée de trois ans intitulé « L’intégration des Aînés nouvellement arrivés par le Bénévolat intergénérationnel dans les Centres de soutien à la famille ». Ce projet a été financé par Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada.
