These cards can be used by anybody who wants to play with a child under the age of five (0-5). This includes:

About the Why Play? Activity Cards:
The “Why Play?” Activity Cards suggest play activities for children aged 0 to 5. These activities are based on content from the Encyclopedia on Early Childhood Development. This set of 24 cards complement Why Play? series of pamphlets which contain evidence-based early childhood development information for parents with young children. Each set of 24 double-sided cards offers a variety of simple and short activities to enjoy daily with young children. The Activity Cards come in four colors. Each color focuses on a skill competency to be fostered: autonomy, exploration, social skills, communication. One side of each card highlights the purpose of the activity, i.e., what targeted skills develop or improve because of this specific activity. The other side of the card describes the activity and the target age for that activity.
Families Canada will be closed for the holidays from December 23, 2023 to January 1, 2024. All orders received during this period will be processed by January 2, 2024.
We do not ship internationally at this time and will only accept orders within Canada.
Once payment is received, orders are processed within 2 to 3 business days** (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.
Shipping time estimates are shown during checkout. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery.

All orders are shipped with tracking.
Families Canada is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.
