The activities are applicable to babies (0-12 months), toddlers (12-30 months), and preschoolers (30-60 months) and important language development milestones are included. This pamphlet also highlights the importance of language and language development in helping children better understand their own experiences and the world around them.
About the series:
The “Why Play?” spotlight series” is based on the content of the Encyclopedia on Early Childhood Development. All pamphlets in the spotlight series focus on one aspect of children’s healthy development, and suggest corresponding play activities for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Important developmental milestones are included. All partners are thankful for the valued contributions of family support practitioners who reviewed the series.
